Civ7 inspired me to return to Old World

I have returned to Old World, and find it to be a welcome distraction when I have time to game. I cannot say what it was about Civ7, only that it was not fun after playing a few times.

My only wish is that there was more of a community around Old World. The Scenario Campaigns are well designed with fantastic historical stories to tell. Gameplay is both complex, and yet intuitive. I can see that some of the Achievements might be difficult to complete.

Who else is playing Old World these days? Any tips or words of wisdom?

I'm in a similar boat, started playing Old World because I wasn't interested in Civ 7, and I'm glad I did. No words of wisdom, though. I'm still a raw newbie at Old World, but I'm loving it.

During the summer, I generally don't play as much, but I'm still enjoying Old World. I played all three campaign earlier this year (Greece and Egypt for the first time). Even more than the frequent events in the main game, they radiate a passion for history and storytelling that adds a lot to the game's atmosphere.

I am on the last mission of the Greek campaign and really enjoy it. It makes me very happy that I came back to Old World and gave it another chance.
