But only for trade routes - and foreign trade routes on our continent are basically non existent and will be gone once the continent is ours/we are at war with the rest of the continent. Foreign trade routes to the other continent won't exist until we or they know Astronomy...

I think we are down to 10-7 here on the poll, or 9-7 for the stricter interpretation, if one really loathes the outcome.

We are now in a Feudal Regime. The Mandarins are thrown on the streets of NOTA, just wearing their long robes and folded pale hands, hiding parchments of instructions for delay, as the bold Mongol Knights come bursting into the palace.

Representation, Vassalage, Serfdom, Mercantilism and Organized Religion are now the proper Civics of the nation. So the Mongol Empire of 1470-1500 could be very reminiscient of England at that time, especially with Henry VIII taking the reins. Magna Carta, House of Lords and House of Commons, peasants working hard in the field for survival, watched by their feudal overlords, a nationalistic trade policy - our empire has it all - and finally organized religion, the Mongol clergy are chasing out everyone with the wrong faith and contributes to building the country.

Hooray for Vassalage, and more expectedly, Mercantilism.

And Dutchfire, the good news is, we can shorten the war with 20 turns or so, now that we got serfdom and vassalage.
