When creating a map with CivII Edit, why can't I set the player startup location (scrollbar is disabled)? It works fine on a PC but on my Mac, hm
it just doesn't? Any solution for this?

Sorry! The solution is edit on a PC. Did I really type that? 
The Mac editor supports the version 1.21 capabilities in the game file, and start positions were not pre-configurable in that version, on either platform. Only the PC editor has been updated to support the 1.29 capabilities.
