CivIII Music

Amen. Hearing the same 14 songs over and over again gets old. I dont know where to find any. I think that music files would have to be put on the CD. On C3c thats where the music is i think.

I don't no what gold is but in C3C there all on the hard drive.

You know, I never get tired of that "techno mixfull". I have actually found my self listning to it outside of civ.

Like right now while i'm adding this to my post.

Take a look at Here and Here.

Also, Using Search with keyword "music" and searching Civilization III "Creation and Customization" subforums, gives plenty of answers.

Also, most people play Conquest version, so I suggest to get that (best version IMO too).

Oh, I need to find it then but I always thought it was on the CD

Go in your civilization 3 folder. Then go to sounds, build, and choose an era.

The music can really get to you after a while. I usually just disable it and put on the TV or radio.

I like the music. Why does everyone hate it?

I hate being in the future era having to listen to that music with no hope of advancing an age.

Hmm, changing music would not be that hard. Back up the music file, decide what you want to hear and what era, then rename the music of your choice to match the file your are replacing, and put it in the Sounds/Build file. I might have to do some changing myself, now that I look at things. Listening to the same music for 8 years is a bit much.

But what music complements the game well?. Something like Ludwig Von Beethoven's - Bagatelle in A Minor, WoO 59. Perhaps Richard Wagner, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Franz Liszt, etc.
