I've got the blues and I’m getting bored rigid with Civ3 conquest, it does not seem changing any more!

Does anybody else experience the Blues with Civ3!

I get bored playing solo games often. That's why I started playing in SG's. They keep me interested, and almost make me play when I don't want to. I haven't finished a solo game in months.

Occasionally, I get the Civ blues, so I start playing another game for a while. Of course, I do not stop visiting the forums, and eventually, something peaks my interest, and I head back to Civ.

Not only that, but I'll break the rut by playing a civ I don't normally, or a map style that's different. Click the civ content and pick one of those.

Definitely. I play some real-time strategy games to add some variety.

Even some of the shockwave.com games are a good change of pace - go try zuma.

I have the blues right now, but I do have a single player game with the Russians going now.

i too face this situation..seems like ptw was really a better expansion is spite of the bad press..i have put my cd away and will await civ 4 ...or not.

Time to play another game. You will or will not come back to Civ3 later.

You could try Medieval: Total War, Panzers, Joint Operations... or buy an iRiver iFP-790 and play MP3 until people shun you because you do no longer put off your headphones and they have to talk in gestures with you. :)

I personally wish there was a 'summary judgement' option for concluding the game.

For example, right now I have the lead in everything and building the UN, but a victory could be another 50 turns of war.

Take a month off and play another game or two. You'll come back to Civ 3, trust me. I always do.

One other thing to do during the Civ Blues is to set up a scenario where you are the gods and watch the AI beat itself up. To do this, landmark some hill terrain after you create the map in the editor (I usually put it way out of the way in the ocean) and add one more civ. ID that civ start location as civ 1 and give yourself lots of good units and stealth fighters. Make the stealth fighter buildable only by you and give it a range of 199. Now you can set the mode (in Scenario Parameters) to debug and watch the computer civs play.

Hm...that reminds me of the Silmarillion.

What if a civ really hates another civ, so they sign an MPP with that civ and then declare war on you, and then back out? This "other civ" is the strongest civ, and then they send a huge fleet of ships towards you.

Then you wipe them out XD

I get the Civ Blues occasionally, but I always come back and play as if I just got the game.

MSTK you from GFAQs?
Damn that signup I missed it.

I get bored with civ then I play some mindless shooter and I return to civ.

OMG, another LUEser here.

MSTK, can I request a conquest map of the famous three trinity members? At least one of them should be easy to make...ahem.

Hmm, whenever that happens to me, I play Starcraft on battlenet until I get bored,
then I have the urge to play Civ!
