Hello,
Ive had serious problems with Civilization IV for several months now. I just found this forum and hope to find some advice how to continue further.
I have Civilization IV, Beyond the Sword and Colonization games for PC.
Few months ago I was able to play Civilization IV and Beyond the Sword games without any problems. Then suddenly I started to have problems with them. After 5-15 minutes of playing I lose the picture (display becomes black) and then after a while computer crashes. When I turn on the computer again, open Civilization IV and start to play again automatically saved game, computer crashes again after 5-15 minutes of playing. If I repeat this maybe 6-7 times computer stops crashing and Im able to play the game to end.
Im not quite sure what I did with my computer before it started to crash with Civilization IV. At least I installed Cubase 5.01 update. I dont remember installing much else except automatic Microsoft/Apple updates.
I have installed Service Pack 3, but this didnt solve the problem.
Im, using Windows XP Professional in Apple Mac Pro computer with bootcamp.
In the beginning of Civilization game there becomes text that selected audio card is not suitable for voice or something like that, but this same text was there before crashes started. My audio card is RME Fireface400.
Could someone help me with this problem? I would like to start to play my favorite game again.

I read from another thread that dust might be the problem. I vacuum-cleaned etc my computer inside and outside. Now it's silent as it used to be and Civilization works fine again.
