Civilization V doesnt start

My Brave New World wont start. When starting game it jams to screen where reads"Sid meirs civilization brave new world loading". Also the loading music stops when this screen appears. Usually it loads the game less than in two minutes but i have waited more than 10 minutes. Also rebooted computer couple of times

1. Tried remove+reinstall. Didnt help. Reinstalled via steam
2. Tried both directx 9 and 11 with same result
3. Emptied cache. Didnt help
4. Dsdiag added

I have the same problem. I have tried removing both civ folders (steam and personal files), re-installled the game twice, I have updated my nvidia drivers, tried re-installing them along with directx drivers. No luck.. really don't know what to try next..

Okay, problem "solved". Just read a solution from 2k forums. I had to disable my F-secure firewall and now it's working, it still loads like a minute or two before proceeding so be patient.

Disabling the real-time scanning of the Civilization V files (AFAIK of the XML type) by F-Secure seems to do the trick. Either by adding the Civ V folder to exemptions list in F-Secure or by disabling the real-time scanning altogether. Firewall shouldn't really affect it at all.

Problem solved also here by excluding civ from f-secure's real-time scan

I had the same problem yesterday. F-secure's real-time scanning was also a problem here.
