Civilization V: Who/What Am I?

Engineer specialist? I don't know how it fits with Clue 1

1. And so my Order has been founded. Quick, let's fly to 'Frisco and catch that Dead concert!
2. If I work here long enough, they'll be able to add twice the production of this place.

Engineer specialist? I don't know how it fits with Clue 1

CORRECT!

1. The Order of the Engineer was founded in a ceremony on June 4, 1970 at Cleveland State University. That same night, Grateful Dead performed at Fillmore West in San Francisco.
2. Employed Engineers earn Great Engineer points each turn, and Great Engineers can build the Manufactory, which has 4 hammers compared to the Workshop's 2.

Third clue would have been:
3. Why can't they be happy that I'm working here? (As an employed specialist, an Engineer increases city unhappiness)

Tell us our first clue, shaglio!

I'm not good at these, so this might be too easy:

Clue 1: “If you come down and stay at the boardwalk, I’ll cost you more.”

No to both.

OK here goes...

Clue #1: It doesn't matter which leader you play as, you will never be able to produce me bring me into play

Incorrect. Landsknechts can be produced by any leader, after putting a coupla policies into Commerce, and using gold to 'produce' them ('produce' here is used loosely, not in the hammer sense)

Foreign legion?

Edit: So it's not produce like in "hammer it out" but to get to make that unit or building or whatever at all?

Erm...this has kinda turned into a semantics lesson, I guess. My day job bleeds into my hobby :D

Anyway, my own fault. I didn't think before I gave the clue about the ambiguity of the verb 'to produce' in this context.

A city can build buildings or train units or purchase either. These are all the functions I am including in the meaning of 'produce', as in they are the result of a player's action in their own city, manually activated.

I hope this clarifies rather than confuses. Sorry guys... ;)

Rephrasing:

Clue #1: It doesn't matter which leader you play as, you will never be able to bring me into play
