Sid Meier Civilization VI New Update Ideas
→ New Unit
[Researcher] (Can be produced in Campus with Research Lab)
· Unit type: Civilian
· Can be capture by enemy military units
-When captured an enemy Researcher, you may choose to
· Must be purchase with faith.
· One charge per Researcher

[Research Base]
· Can only be built by the Researcher.
· Can only be built on own territory or unclaimed territory, occupied one tile, and can improve or harvest resources in six adjacent tiles.
· Provide +4 Science if build on Snow, Volcanic soil, adjacent to Volcanic soil, +4 Culture if build on Rainforest, Desert, adjacent to Coast/ Lake.
· Provide visibility within 4 tiles, from the center of the Research Base.
· Research Base can be named, for instance, USA Antarctic Station, Moscow Station, Antarctic Kunlun Station, etc.
· Provide 1 aircraft slot, allow airlift unit to the Research Base
· Military engineers and Builders are allowed to build improvements on the six adjacent tiles of the Research Base.
· Can construct a few specific buildings with specific projects.
· Needed gold for maintenance, -10 golds per Research Base, without golds all the functions of Research Base will be deactivated.
· Military engineers are allowed to demolish the research base. The area occupied and adjacent 6 tiles will belong to the nearest city if the Research Base is in your own territory.
· Allow shut down of the Research Base by conduct the Base Deactivated Project.
· When deactivated, all the functions of the Research Base will shut down, including airlift function, aircraft slot, and all the improvement in the territory of Research Base.
· Improvement within Research Base does not require population to work, but needed gold to maintain, -3 golds per improvement/turn.
· Since the Research Lab does not require production and food, the production and food gained from improvement will turn into faith, 1 production = 1 faith, 1 food = 1 faith.
· Restriction: All adjacent 6 tiles must be empty or with resources. Research Base cannot be built if adjacent to the city center or district, vice versa.
Suggestion & TIPS: Use Military engineers to build hangar improvement or missile silo improvement in the Research Base territory can turn the Research Base into an underlying military base.

I. Meteorological Station
-Provide +2 Science, additional +1 Science for each adjacent tile of Snow or Volcanic soil.
- Researcher is needed to set up the Meteorological Station (Set up instantly when the charge is used)
-Allow research of Meteorological Project
-Maintenance fees 4 golds.
Restriction: Cannot be built if Conservation Station has already been built in the Research Base.
II. Conservation Station
-Provide +2 Culture, additional +1 Culture for each adjacent tile of Rainforest/ Desert/ Coast/ Lake.
-Naturalist is needed to set up the Conservation Station (Set up instantly when the charge is used)
-Allow conduct of Afforestation Project.
-Maintenance fees 4 golds.
Restriction: Cannot be built if Meteorological Station has already been built in the Research Base.

I. Meteorological Project
-5 turn in normal speed, count as turn, not production
- Required Meteorological station
- Can detect the Hurricane, Tornado, Dust storm, Blizzard, and Volcanic eruption which may happen in the next 25 turns, provide science after the project finished.
-Start with a prediction of disaster with 65% accuracy. Accuracy of disaster occur +5% for each time completed the project, Maximum 95% accuracy.
-All the Research Labs share the same information (Accuracy) after Computer technology is found.
-Can detect the disaster may occur within 20 tiles, boost to 30 tiles when the satellite is launched.
II. Afforestation Project
-5 turn in normal speed, count as turn, not production
-Required Conservation Station
-Allow Builder to farm and plant trees on Desert and Tundra tiles within 20 tiles after the project is completed. Expired after 15 turns.
III. Base Deactivated Project
-3 turn in normal speed, count as turn, not production
-All the building and improvement in the Research Base deactivated after this project was completed. All yields from this base will also stop providing.
IV. Base Activated Project
-3 turn in normal speed, count as turn, not production
-All the building and improvement in the Research Base activated after this project was completed. (Only appeared when the Research Base is deactivated)
