I have made a few changes in the ini file, such as turning off movies. But I just started my game and got the intro movie. I quit and looked at the ini file, and I found that all my changes had been reverted to default settings. The last time I played I registered for a GameSpy account, and it seems that in writing the GameSpy info to the ini file, the game didn't bother keeping my other changes.
This is the second time this has happened to me. If it's going to write to the ini file, it should make sure it's not overwriting anything that's already there.
