Civs you want in an expansion.

Israel

Terrorists

Robots

Aliens

Zombies

Predator

Consider these Questions:

WHY does Sci-Fi have it's own Channel?
WHY is SC2 so popular?
Star Trek?
The Borg?

Now ask yourself WHY doesn't Civ have any Sci-Fi elements??? We have to add them in ourselves?!? If I buy a pair of white shoes and want them to be black...why don't I just purchase a pair of black shoes??

Does anyone Remember Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri game? That game ROCKED!!!

Civ 5 has Giant Death Robots. Now do you have your Sci-fi?

If Babylon is in a pre-order special, can we still buy it as DLC, or will it be in an expansion?

Civ 5 has Giant Death Robots. Now do you have your Sci-fi?

Civ 4 had Giant Death Robots and Giant tanks. They felt like a late-addition add-on and each civilization was limited to only 1 robot and 2 tanks, which as soon as you fielded all the other civs had as well. So no matter what you had a boxing grudge match.

I've been playing every game Sid makes since I was in Elementary school (MBA Graduate now) but Civ 4 really...well, I didn't like it.

World culture is trending towards high-tech, the US has Robot Guns that shoot 1 Million bullets a minute:

Automated Robots Drones watching our Borders:

And Robot Soldiers:

And you talk to me about "Oh Civ 5 has Death Robots."

The point is, we're living in the future but civilization seems to be living in the past.

The Giant Death Robots and Dreadnought Tanks are limited to the Next War mod, which I believe also has the virtue of having no Apostolic Palace. And besides, Giant Death Robots are quite different from Battle Droids and Automatons. But enough prattle, back on topic!

Terrans
Led by: Jim Raynor
UU: Thor(Replaces Giant Death Robot)
UB: Command Center(Replaces Palace)
Power: Power of Defensive Turrets(Units defending cities get +5 Strength

Denmark or Sweden (to replace Vikings)

Austria (The Hapsburgs had a massive empire at one point, bizzare that they have never been in civ)

Spain (how could one of the most important civs historically not be in??)

Inca (someone needs to be in South America...)

Phocenia/Carthage

Mongols (c'mon...Gengis has to be back. Besides, Asia is kindof light for civs)

Incidentally, I think most of the Israel suggestions are based on the Biblical Israel. The Merkava UU in my post was there to represent the modern country.

i see no problem with giving both the ancient and modern states some kind of recognition, though i think everyone agrees the ancient should have more weight. not sure if i'd give them a unique tank because there's already one of those. maybe a mossad to replace the arsenal/armory/military academy/something like that. everything else i can think of right now (even a possible ability) has to do with espionage.

Don't mean to :deadhorse:, but my list would be:

Byzantine/Eastern Roman Empire
Leader: Constantine or Justinian, or whoever
Traits: Spirtual has to be there, aggressive maybe? or imperialist?
UB: Orthodox Church
UU: Hell I don't know

Israel
Leader: Solomon
Trait: Spirtual, Protective?
UB: Any
UU: Any

Apache or Navajo
Leader:....
Trait: ....
UB: ....
UU: ....

Nazca
Leader: .....
Trait: ....
UB: ....
UU: ....

Maya and Inca of course.

That's about all I can pull out now. While we're on it, it'd be nice to have a feature that would allow you to play 24 Civs, and alter who those 24 civs might be if you wish. Meaning, you can remove America and put Sitting bull in his place or take out Inca and repleace with Nazca.

Also, can we have an Eastern Roman Empire and Western Roman Empire, that would be nice!!!

Maori
Leader: Hone Heke (Aggressive, Inspirational)
UU: Taiaha (Replaces spearman)
UB: Marae (Replaces theatre)
Ability: Might of the Ancestors (+50% experience from combat within borders or forest)

also this, maybe. though possibly an australian tribe instead. the taiaha could be kind of like the new impi or something. and it would add to that part of the world map.

Civ: Ireland
Leader: Brian Boru
UU: Drunken Bar Fighter (Replaces warrior)
UB: Pub (replaces Market)

Drunken Bar Fighter:
Strng: 3
speed:1
Fights at full force, fails to see when losing. Can not see Battle odds when in use.

Pub:
+2 Happiness
-3 Hammers
Makes people happier, and fail to wake up for work
