Please try the map and let me know what you think? It looks like a real world map. You will be very impressed by it. Yes Europe is a bit crowed! Why do you think there was so many World Wars? hehe.

This is also a great map for doing colonization on. I have all of North & South Amercia ready for it. Just you will have to deal with some not so friendly Natives..hehe! (Evil grin and much thoughts of the hell you will endure.)

I run the map on the following specs;

Dell 4600

2.4GHZ PIV
1Gig Ram DDR 400
256Meg ATI 9550 Video Card
5.1 OEM SB Audigy Sound Card

Game runs really fast even in late years with lots of stuff happening on the map.

Enjoy!

Stay tuned. I have a super updated awesome v1.02 of this map coming out soon tonight. I added some more Barbarian Civs and everything is testing out great. Just doing some last minute tweaks.

Okay, I updated the map to version 1.02 and I am so far very happy with this version. Wont do anymore updates for awhile now.

Enyoy! :)

Please let me know what you think of this map?

I like it, it plays very well, would you consider adding and alternate verision with the American civizations included?

Yes in the future I will make an American Civ version in it. What version have you been playing? Version 1.02 is a blast! The world is turning out so sweet. Its almost as history unfolded as real. Im very, very impressed with how version 1.02 is working out. The Irish in 1600..LOL..still holding Dublin from the English. hehe!

Okay, see you all later.

PS. Will be a bit before I do a version with America in it. Yet I will do one.

I was so happy with v1.02 I will be busy on and off working on version 1.03 today. Things Im working on is fixing the land between Russia and Monglia so there is a little less room for cities. Also Im tweaking some of the computer A.I. so hopefully they will be a bit more willing to crush Europe for a one nation Civ ruler!..hehe. Im also tweaking and adding a bit to the Barbarian Civs. Another thing is Im renaming some of them to proper city names so when conqured they look better. I will also be doing odds and ends as I find them. Should be ready sometime tonight for download.

I was also very pleased how the North & South American Barbarian Civs expanded and flooded the lands. Yet they still left some room to colonize without having to fullout goto war.

Im also working on a side version that I will be readding in the Americans,Aztecs,Incas. So stay tuned for some more fun coming your way! :)

Okay unless there is some major game breaking bug Im taking a break from updating this map/scenario! Have fun and maybe in near future I will make one with the Americans readded.

Later

Hey, Thanks.
Again, great map.
Could you please leave prior versions of the updates linked as well, in case we prefer an older version of the map?
I like the idea of having a version with the america's civs still on it.
One question: How do you edit out civs? I would like to do a bit of editing, but I can't figure out how to remove a civ. Any help would be appreciated.
I also have a suggestion for a future version. That is to leave europe, iceland, the mediterranean, N aftrica and the middle east much the size they were in the original EARTH18 civs version, and then keep the americas and asia the size you have them currently. Europe and the mediterranean were a blast the size they were. yes, the map would look a touch bloated in this area, but Europe is a good theatre for a focus on the map. It's much more fun to fight and maneuvre in the larger mediterranean area.

I see what your saying. Im not sure when Im going to be working on this map again. I may look at a way to increase Europe land area. Yet then I would have to decrease something else to keep the game speed fast.

About older versions. I will think about posting older versions.

Editing a civ out is very easy. Use notepad and then scroll down to where you see the different Civs. Its near the top. Then put an X beside the Leaders name of the Civ you want out. Example.... WASHINGTONX and then that civ wont load anymore.

Oh, when you save the edited file make sure you save it as a .Civ4Worldbuildersave file or it wont work. Otherwise the file you opened with notepad with save as a .txt file. If this happens just relable it as I have said. You must goto files/options and enable all hidden files/folders and view extensions to make sure you can see edit all files when needed. Just my advice anyways. Makes things alot easier.

Looks like Realism map from nuist only smaller but in a ways same resourse problems.
A couple of resources from what i can see are missing in the U.S.:

Marble/Gem - there are quarries in northern central US.
Horses - alot of them in Colorado/Montana and Minnesota.
Sheep - lots of them all over northern US.
Rice/Dye/Insense/Silk/Spices/Sugar and Ivory - Dont know for sure ??
