CivV on Steam not working

I can't seem to start the game - it's been like that for some 6 hrs now. Internet is fine, I can log into my steam account just fine, but CivV won't start up. Nothing is mentioned on the Steam forums.

It just says that it couldn't connect me to the steam nework. I've tried turning off my firewall, but that didn't help.
Anyone else experiencing this right now?

Any tips - files you can delete that might help?
