A freind of mine (lets call him steve) wants to know how to wipe google and yahoos memory of past searchs. Thanks in advance (from steve my freind)

I wonder why ;).

What browser is he using?

In IE, go to options and click on "Clear History" and "Clear Cookies".

In Firefox, go to options, then privacy.

Click clear next to "Saved Form Information".

Hope that helped :).

That may clear the history, but the drop-down box (at least in IE) doesn't get cleared with the history. The only way to get rid of that (with the auto-complete) is to manually delete the entries. Basically, click in the box, hit the Down key, and then hit delete. Repeat 1000-2000 times. Also, if you're using the Google Toolbar you need to clear the search history in there as well(click on the button that says Google and click Clear Search History).

Or you can just go to your temporary internet files folder and select all, then delete :).

That neither clears history pages nor former searches.

Tell him to stop looking for furry porn.

It's actually impossible to wipe the momory completely. A good programmer (such as one of the police) can always look at the Fat-32 stuff.
Alternatively, delete all cookies etc.

well my freind said "Thanks" and it was quite easy when i.. i mean he tried, just click delet all the entrys. By the way, when Steve cleared history cookies and tempory internet files, it would go away either
