Colonization Review Roundup

GameRankings has 19 reviews listed and the average rating is 85%. The game has also done pretty well in sales and is consistently among the top 5 best selling PC Games in the US for the past few weeks.

How many games acctually get "3 out of 5" or < 80% ratings? Why would a game site give a negative review when they're basically paid for by game sales and game ads from gaming companies? The user reviews on those sites and especially on amazon.com for Civ:Col are much more negative than all the horn blowing reviews on the gaming sites.
