Colonization Won't Work

I bought the Civilization IV Complete Edition pack with Colonization, and Colonization won't work right. When I start the game, I set it up with all the settings I want, but then when I'm about to start playing it shuts down without any error code. It says something like, "Colonization has stopped working and will need to be shut down." Then I click ok, and it sends me to the desktop and shuts the game down. The Civilization IV game works well so far, it doesn't shut down on me. No worries there.

I did a search and found a thread that had a similar problem, but it was not specific to my system. Here's my DxDiag file:

EDIT: When it shuts down, it says, "A problem has caused Sid Meier's Colonization to stop working. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."

Civ IV wasn't installed anywhere, so I uninstalled my colonization, and reinstalled them both (because I couldn't install Civ IV on it's own).

check you have installed Civ4 as per my thread at the top of the forum
