While I was testing resource depletion, I noticed having a colony on a resource prevented it from depleting. I would call this a minor bug, as you would use a resource available through a colony the same way as any other resource, so the chance of depletion should be the same.
It's worth noting that I changed the disappearance chance in the editor for doing my test. I tested with iron, and gave it a depletion chance of 1 in 1 instead of 1 in 800. The original test is described here.
