Color Blind Patch...

Hi.

After trying hard to like Civilization 3, I quit. Im going to reinstall Alpha Centauri this week, but i remember the game color is kind of dazzling.

I would like to know if the Color Blind Patch makes the games colors more pleasant to the eyes, even for a non-color blinded person. Thanks!

I personally, as a colorblind person, never found the colorblind patch to be particularily useful. It looked like all they did was darken some of the pallette and lighten some of the pallette. Whether it would be more aesthetically pleasing to a non-colorblind person, I don't know, but I doubt it. However, I also question your assertion that the colors of SMAC are overboard; I find it usually darker and less straining on the eyes than Civ3. Just differing opinions, I guess.
