Combined Units - 1 model ???

There are two stars at the icon of the combined unit. It's a bit too subtle for my taste.

I think it'd be too cluttered if stacked units would be represented with multiple units.
It'd make it harder to easily read the map, especially with land units, which are already represented with multiple units.
A stacked land units would be 8 to 12 models. On one tile this would be really crowded and hard to see.

Yes, but needs some additional larger indicator. Maybe some flag with the unit, something like this.

Another problem could occur, if you combine a combined unit with a support unit (if this is possible).

Can quickly become confusing...

if u combine 2 units, your combined unit has just 40% more strength, so we dont need 8 models but just 6. 3 combined units = 8 models.

It's roughly 40%. We don't know exact formula. And still it would be confusing once you loose health to the point of regular number of models.

From what people have deduced so far, we get multiple unit graphics for melee ships and only a single graphic for ranged ships. I would have thought that showing multiple units for a fleet was more intuitive than signifying ranged vs melee, but there you are...
