Comics!

Thanks AOA! That index should be useful and I forgot all about MileHigh... I was in there once, but they are kind of a trip from me now... :goodjob:

modesty someone?

Your thread is dying Miko. Hey you ever read Eightball? Isn't that a Fantagraphics book?

Don't know what my suicide is... All I remember about it is it's by Dan Clowes... (I think) eh. You ever read Groo? Hehehe... Stupid humor is good.

Groo is no lacky! :p

Aragones is a personal favorite of mine, going back to his "Mad" days. ;)

Lots of good stuff in that, but my favorite characters were Pal and drum!

Ha! Pal and Drum I remember them! First time I ever saw Aragones work was on that Dick Clark/Ed McMahon Bloopers and Practical Jokes show. They had animated characters by him come out and sweep the scene away or something to that effect... :) I had a project in school once, and I needed to draw these characters so I based them off of Groo characters. My lovely teacher of the time said the hero (Groo) :p was not very hero like and the Princess (average cannonball chested Aragones woman) was not appropriate for school. :D So some girl in my group filled in the dress of the Princess and Groo was completely scrapped and redone by someone else. sigh...

Ha Ha, good story. ;)

What was Groo's dog again? Ruferto I think.

And his sister was Grooella (who looked just like him but with brains!).

Lot's of funny stuff in that, and alsways with a moral.

I always liked the minstrel who narrated the stories with rhymes. Hmmm. :) Simple pleasures are good ones.

I love comics!

Given the topic: Dont you consider Donald Duck a real comic? Not even the long stories by Don Rosa or Carl Barks?

Anyway.. My favourite cartoon is sandman when it comes to long "serious" comics.

In the humour world of comics my fav. are: Arne Anka, Rocky, Bizarro, Larson and Valhalla (danish album length comic).

Dont know if all these are "real" comics, thou...

Might as well revive my old thread,
here's 'Sláine: The Horned God', the only 2000AD book i've found in Stockholm the past year, and a damn good book too.

Ah!
Old Biz at his best!

That cover depicts Slaine on his day off!

Here's one of my favourite covers from Ikkou Sahara's 'Silbuster'.

Here's a pic from a really awesome UK cartoonist, Robert Grenville Evans.

I have been a fan of this guy's style for years.
