First, my heartfelt thanks for creating this mod - I have come back to Civ IV after a long pause and to find that the game has evolved this far - wow!

Now some questions I would need some help on:
My current game is my third game of BTS 3.19 and my first with RoM (aggressive AI, revolutions and DCM activated). It also is my first game on emperor (the third highest setting...the one below immortal...I think this is emperor, can't check at the moment) on a huge map (large and small (snaky) continents, normal sealevel.

1) savegamesize:
My comp has 2GB ram...I read somewhere that once the savegamesize gets larger than 2MB there will be problems. I am currently around 1600 AD and am slightly beyond 2MB. Is there a possibility to reduce savegamesize in my current game (disabling log?)? I assume no. If this is true, is there a possibility to keep savegamesize smaller in a future game (smaller map, disabling barbarian civ to lower the number of civs?)

2) turntimes:
turntime runs for several minutes now. Is there a possibility (both for current and future games) to reduce turntime? (do storms have a noticable impact and if yes can I disable them?

3) helping AI civs:
I am basically a warmonger...am not interested in cultural victory. Now I would like the AI civs to be more challenging, especially militarily.
During the begining of the game (until about 1000BC) I have to struggle hard to keep up...but around 0AD I have a strong enough position and especially now around 1500AD I doubt that the AI could kill me militarily.

So: What settings would help the AI in my next game (I am hesitant about playing immortal, I doubt that I have enough knowledge about all the interactions of civics, techs and wonders to creat a sound strategy):
3a) should I deactivate barbarian civs (to enable 'regular' AIs to expand further?
3b) should I deactivate revolutions (I really like this feature, but I assume that the AI has more problems through it than I do)
3c) or is there a way to deactivate revolutions for the AI but keep it active for me?
3d) combat AI: I am already impressed on what the AI is able to do...I actually lost two cities to two surprise invasions by a distant AI. But the AI suicidally keeps attacking entrenched troops, often piecemeal with no chance of success....if they would not do that I would have a _much_ harder time to defeat them in the open or in their cities....is it possible to tweak this? To have the AI check on whether they at least have a chance? I assume not.
3e) Is it possible to give the player a handicap for combat?
3f) Any other suggestions (mapsettings or whatever) to give the AI a military edge

Thanks for any help - and again, this mod is great!

To reduce turn-time, install AND, it gives a huge boost.

It has also several options like increasing difficulty etc, which may deal with 3.

Look in the Rom ModMods section for the AND subforum, and then use the 1.60beta6, it has all options you want - and even much, much more, like "fixed borders", "surround and destroy"...

Be sure to start a custom game to check all the new stuff out.
