Okay, so what constitution should we use as a basis, if any? Pretty simple and straightforward.

Explaining the choices:

Old Constitution
Using the old constitution with little or no modifications.

Modified Old Constitution
Basicly, using the old constitution as a basis, but modifying it heavily.

Alternate Constitution
Using the current constitution with little or no modfications.

Modified Alternate Constitution
Using the current constitution with heavy modfications.

Despite my former beliefs I am voting for a modified old government... Leaders cannot differentiate between short term and long term so the alternate government never worked...

But with the old one, we need to merge Foreign & Trade, also Science & Culture

A modified old constitution. Old official system, based on the advisors in Civ3. No political groups, but give citizen groups some power.

I'm a little surprised we're bothering with this one. If the astute reader squints a little and turns the head sideways, he/she will notice that the only "alternate" things remaining in the currently amended constitution are some cosmetic details. The current system is already "modified old" with a couple of minor terminology changes.

which is why I was against the changes... But its best just to change back as its simpler and veterans understand it easier

A quick question for everyone who votes. Should we pull my modified tradational constitution out, and use it as the basis if the modified old constitution wins? Or should we just get the constitution from DG5 and use it as our basis?

I have just looked over your modified traditional constitution, and for the most part, I agree with it. I would like to merge a few offices, and straighten out some lines (more specific), but otherwise, yes, it is very well done.

My memory might be wrong on this but I think we had actually started ratifying the modified DG5 one before someone said "hey what about that thing you PM'd me about".

No matter where we start from there is work to do. I didn't comment on your attempt at a total replacement amendment at that time because I wanted to let it have a fair chance -- but suffice it to say that it's a long way from being finished.
