Contacting other civs

I'm playing a game with 15 comps and I have discovered all but 5. I can't figure out how to contact the ones I've discovered but don't show up in the foreign advisor screeen for lack of space. I sure do hope there is a way to do this. It would be a real serious design flaw if their wasn't.

P.S. You guys sure do have a wide range of smileys to choose from. I like!

I think you have to shift and then click or right click on one of the civs. THen a list will come up and you can pick someone from that.
