Converting Warlords maps to BTS

Is there an easy way to convert Warlords maps to BTS?

Cut and paste from a warlords file into a bts file through notepad. Of course there is a new tag, randomize resources, but I'm not entirely sure if that has to be there.

All you have to do to any map is this to get a BtS map:

You need to uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' under Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options. This should then allow to change 'CIVWARLORDSWBSAVE' to 'CivBeyondSwordWBSave'

Then just make sure you uncheck it all over again, that way your extensions dont get messed up.

ok, i know this is an old thread but I tried the extension swap and when i loaded (using worldbuilder)the Alex map from warlords into bts it says i have been defeated and then ends the game with no option to see the map or do anything. anyone else get this?

When converting a scenario map like the Warlords Alexander map, you need to make some changes in the WBS. Stuff like "StateReligion=RELIGION_GREEK_MYTH" and "CivType=CIVILIZATION_NORTH_INDIA" should be replaced first.
