There's iron NW of Tours. The fact he's building Swordsmen everywhere might've been considered a clue.

Actually, this map is a pain in the @$$. The rivers to the east of Tennaton are very hard to tell when they end/begin. Those Mountains are perfect AI going to spots. However, with the Great Library, I'm in great shape.

It's a good start. I've had ones like that, but that can have good defensive bonuses

The thing about AW games is that early medieval turns take as long as a normal Industrial Age war turn...

Right now, the turns are taking about 10 minutes each. My kill ratio so far is 30:210 (Okay, so it wouldn't be good enough for Deity, but this is Emporer)

My next objectives will be to park a pikeman on all the world's iron, and get Chivalry.
