(Topic on official forums as well, gladly would appreciate help in any form)
Hey.
Having an issue somewhat similar to the DX9/DX11 crashes-topic, but not quite. No crashes and no freezes (until now). Now, everytime I attempt to save the game, instead of normally saving in less than 5 seconds (size of the save is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned, I'm at turn 250 and I finished earlier with same video options one game without a single lagspike or crash) it first stays frozen for 10 seconds and then goes to not responding (playing windowed mode).
It saves yeah, eventually, but I rather would like to get this fixed as it can take up-to 25 seconds plus to save. To be honest, I could've live with that but not with this: whenever I hit enter for next turn, instead of simulating everything within short time (5-15 seconds tops) it takes 10 seconds plus and once again enters not responding mode for 30 more seconds or so.
This is quite a impact on my gameplay and experience, so this forum is my last resort seeing how Steam forums have turned out.
For the record, I tried to re-install the game, but apparently Steam won't cooperate correctly, I've 'deleted' local game content at least 4 times now, each time Steam says it's un-installing it while in reality nothing disappears from HDD and I still can play the game. Hmm.
Trying to un-install from CD is a no go as well, as it uses Steam for it obviously.
I'll try to delete whole content manually and clean register afterwards, then will try to install it again and see if it fixes anything.
Also, begun a new game and everything works just fine. Wouldn't like to toss 250 turns away.

When I load the save, it can take even over 30 seconds to get on to a loading screen, globe just keeps spinning but yet for unknown reason nothing happens for a long while.
Occasionally it loads eventually and works well, on the other time it crashes before getting on to a loading screen or after clicking "Begin your journey".
This is quite frustrating as my only resort for now seems to be re-installing (will get on to it tomorrow) and if it's not enough to fix this, I'm quite screwed. Fragmentation is 0% in Steam library on Civ V's properties, though whether you can trust on it or not is a whole another case.
For the record, I haven't ever experienced such critical issues with a game for last decade. Titles such as Starcraft II, Mafia II and F1 2010 all works on high settings flawlessly, no critical crashes or such experienced.
I deeply hope this could be solved somehow, either by re-adjusting some settings or perhaps by deploying a patch if this is widespread enough.
I've tried both DX 9 and DX 11, mainly playing on DX 11, drivers are up-to-date.
