Does anyone how much gold you need to upgrade a warrior to an immortal ??

I don't think you can upgrade from a warrior to immortal.

yes, you can. In conquests it's 60 shields, in ptw or normal civ3 its 40

If you got vanilla or PTW it's 2 gold per shield, in Conquests it's 3 gold per shield. But I don't know if you can upgrade them.

Warriors upgrade to immortals, simply because they upgrade to swordsmen for other civs. Likewise, horsemen will upgrade to Samurai for the Japanese civ.

I tried again to upgrade......let me give the facts
any maybe someone knows what is up
Persians....2nd lowest level of diff.......750 BC........got Iron Working
got a barracks.......got 200 gold.......got a road to the iron
cannot upgrade.......I right click on the unit in the city screen
that usually works for most other upgrades....
lemme know if you have an idea

If the iron isn't in the city border you have to build a colony.

If the iron isn't in the strategic resource box of your city( top left corner of the city screen) then the upgrade won't work. As rschissler says, you may need a colony.

Or, use the file upload. If you're still using the 1.07 game, then the save files will be huge.

Possible reasons

1) The city where you try to upgrade is not connected to the iron.
2) The city where you try to upgrade does not have a barracks.
3) Your Civ does not have the gold required to pay for the upgrade.
4) You are playing Vanilla CivIII, unpatched, and you can not upgrade to a UU.
