COTM 110 Inca - Final Spoiler - Game Over

What I'm wondering about from that quote is the Library in 1 turn  (unless I'm confused about turns in that time period being 25 years)

That would be pretty expensive to rush as a non-scientific civilization. If you got 1 shield before rushing, it would cost around 300 gold? And it's usually double if you have no shields in already... so you paid 600+ gold?

Well, you want to get culture at all costs, right?

But as Memento says, by either rushing a Worker for 80 gold or disbanding a unit, the penalty is neutralized. Then, if you are lucky, you can rush something cheaper and change to Library in order to utilize the city production on the final turn, so-called short rushing. Say you disband a Medieval Infantry for ten shields, then rush a Medieval Infantry for 30 * 4 = 120 gold, then set production to Library and disband a second Medieval Infantry for ten more shields. You now have 50 shields in box. Since the city is apparently producing 30 shields per turn, the Library is finished in the interturn.

The cost was two MIs and 120 gold, or 280 gold only (Worker 80, Granary 200, ten shields lost).

Nice!

Can that be done for Wonders, or at least Small wonder? Let's say, disband Warrior, Rush something big like Marketplace, then switch to wonder and already have those shields in?

Più Freddo got it basically right: I disbanded some left-over regular warrior (2s), then cash-rushed a barracks for 4x38 = 152 gold (40s), then chopped a left-over forest (50s) and then the city was making 32spt during Golden Age, which finished the 80s for a library in one turn.
Total price: a warrior and 152 gold.

No. You can't switch back to a wonder (big or small), if the shield-box contains "tainted" shields! (Which means shields that came from cash-rush, pop-rush, disbanded units or forest chops.)
