Could this be the Sidar music going forward please?

Hi... no good place to put this request.. and if there was, don't hassle me, I'm sick and low on mindforce.

Anyways... don't like the wailing for sidar in diplomacy. Been working hard to find something better. I think this is much better, what I present.

It is a remixed and slowed rendition of Id's theme from the classic PS1 title Xenogears, well known to have had a brilliant musical score.

I made sure this loops smoothly and stuff...

To me anything is better than "Halo 2 trailer wailing" that sidar have normally. Hurts my ears.

I agree that the Sidar theme is rather bad, as is.
That suggestion sounds good as a replacement.


Even so, I figured I'd upload the replacement song I myself use, as an alternative solution - I've grown sort of fond of it, myself.

Re: The topic at hand:

I agree that the Sidar should get a different theme. The current is just too scary for them. It's what I'd expect from a nation of monsters subtly plotting to consume everything than for a nation of pacifistic immortals who simply fear death. Heck, it'd probably be more fitting as a theme for the Calabim, to be honest.

I really like that first theme (from Cuteunit). I think it fits the Sidar perfectly: Dark and mysterious, with a hint of melancholy. BCalchet's suggestion is a bit too creepy for them (maybe if they followed the Overlords... but then we'd establish a precedent to get a different theme for every civ/religion combo out there).

im torn between the 2 posted here now. i also hate the current one, but both of those are excelent and fit perfectly. i think CU's is my favourite though... (i actually just changed it in my game )

Is this music from a game based on old Unreal-engine? Those synthesizers sounds like those in Unreal/Deus Ex music themes.
