Crash at Victory Score Status

More civ woes. I went out and bought Civilization Complete and it worked fine... until the end of a scenario and I win. When I win the age of discovery scenario and the mesopotamia scenario the game goes through the replay, top cities, etc until it gets to the victory score status screen. When I click the 'x' to continue, the game crashes and I get this message "Civ3 Complete has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience..." Attached are the last turns of the two scenarios. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Did they release an unplayably buggy game or am I just snakebit?

edit: Before anyone asks, The game came patched as version 1.22.
