So I've got to the point now where the game just doesn't provide that much of a challenge too me. So i was thinking of ways i can provide more challenge to my game play.

I've seen a few people mention that they try to limit the amount of turns they allow themselves to have to achieve their victory. I was wondering what numbers people are aiming for

is it around 200 turns for domination/religious and around 300 for the peaceful victories?

What's the quickest diplomatic victory someone has gotten?

This is all on standard speed btw

GOTM67 had a dip victory of 212 turns
You can get a CV in under 100 and a science victory in under 160
A lot depends on map (start, CS etc), difficulty and civ

I tend to just set myself targets for example 10 cities of size 30 was fun
A OCC victory on diety is also challenging

Oh wow! Those are some very impressive times.

So focusing on getting to 250 turns and then getting down to 200 and below is something i can aim for to start for.

I also love the idea of trying to get lots of large cities.

Like making your own objectives to aim for

There is alot of way you can make the game harder. One simple way is to give the ai anahead start by not settling, I would suspect the game will get atleast somewhat harder if you simply end turn 10-20 times Before you do anything.
