Crime halp!

It shows the crime reduction both in the mouseover and the pedia.

Huh. So if I'm not seeing these things, there's something wrong on my end, then?

I'm really sorry to keep bothering everyone, but I downloaded the mod from here:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=15324

less than a week ago. Is there something else I should be doing after that to be getting whatever version has 5 levels of Riot Control, with pedia entries and mouseover text?

What would really be useful would be a 'pedia entry just briefly detailing the mechanics of crime (and similar for other properties such as flammability, once they are fully implemented). I think the main reason I am having trouble with it, is that I don't understand where the crime numbers are coming from - I have built all buildings with -crime and am currently avoiding +crime buildings until I understand the numbers, but my crime is sometimes going up and sometimes going down - being able to look up how it works would help a great deal.

I seem to be on top of it now (but until the renaissance era it was an absolute nightmare for me), but I still don't understand how the crime numbers are calculated. I'm one of those gamers who needs to be able to calculate the effects of things myself, rather than feeling helpless as "stuff" happens to me. :D

If someone writes it down I can probably remember how to get it into the concepts page of the pedia. Although that particular page is just crying out to be generalised so that it can all be done "just" in XML. Perhaps it is just the task for a budding Python modder looking for something to get their teeth into.:mischief:
