CTD every time on same turn (save file attached)

So I updated my Nvidia drivers last night to the latest (v162.18) and went on play a standard Civ4:BtS game and now every time the game crashes to desktop with a "report this error" window popping up. The crash occurs when I hit enter or the red-glowing turn button to start the next turn. Before I upgraded my drivers I was using the v94.24 drivers.

At first I thought it was just a random bug (I had been playing for 2 hours since the driver update without any problems), so I just reloaded my last autosave, and two turns later, on the exact same turn as before, I once again CTD. So I manually saved on the turn right before it happens, hit enter, and crashed. Now when I try to load that saved game, it doesn't even finish. It CTD while loading that save file.

The save in question is attached. Anything else I can tell/give you guys to figure this out, please ask.

No idea what it the cause. I just wanted to tell you that your savegame crashes also on my PC and I have an ATI card.

Mantees, thanks for putting the time in to try it as well and posting your results. So this leads me to think its the game itself... ? Something they missed or didn't expect before release?

Same here - it just crashes and (with debugging enabled) creates a dump file - it crashes while the loading bar is displayed...

A lot of people have been complaining of the same problem, so it should be a known bug by now. Hopefully the next patch will fix it.

Well I just patched to Civ4:BoS v3.03 and what ever is causing this save file to CTD wasn't fixed in the patch. Anyone mind confirming it on their rig?

Since the 3.03 patch seems to only include a fixed DirectX version and some Vista compatibility fixes I am not surprised
The "real" patch seems to be still pending...

Bha... I started two games so far. One went to the infinite loop of "Waiting for other civs" and the second one now crashes every time I load the save.
I can't believe they released the game in this state

Aww... I thought it was a mod component that was causing the crash so I wasted all this time and hard work getting rid of it only to find that it was a problem with the game...
