Custom Map Settings

Hello, I've been playing Fall From Heaven 2 for quite some time now and I've just downloaded Masters of Magic. I was wondering what your favorite custom map settings are. My main problem is that the other civilizations never seem to expand properly and I don't think that I've ever found a game to be properly challenging.

I usually play a large map with 12 players on Prince. What do you recommend to make the game more challenging? A different map type? I generally use Erebus or Tectonics. More or less opponents? What do you play?

you can always increase the difficulty setting. i usually play on erebus continent, it clusters civilizations a bit together, so if you use this with some extra civilizations you should have more challenges without increasing the difficulty level.

erebus is a horrible map script by the way, because of tis choke-points that the ai has problems dealing with.
