So a while ago, I made a thread noting that whenever I tried and try and make custom player data, the game crashes. Well, I discovered why: it appears that the game is completely incapable of reading custom player data made by me. Is there any way I can fix this? So far, I've tried adding in custom player data from the vanilla editor, Quintillus's editor, and Steph's, and nothing has worked. Any help here?

I'm assuming you are using the "Civ3ConquestsEdit" editor?

Have you tried loading one of the included scenario's into the editor?

if that works what exactly are you trying to do...what changes are you trying to make?

Ok, sorry found Part 1...

I had a quick look into your biq. The error could be in the units setting of your settler. The flag "Join City" isn´t activated and therefore the flag for the AI tactics "Settle" is also not activated. What should a game other do than crash in such a case?

Hi

So I've taken a look, 31 races? thought the max was 30?

No Civilopedia.txt I'm assuming you have it? ok, if you have added races or buildings/units/Techs/or literally anything, if you have not added a default Civilopedia.txt entry for it their is every chance your mod will crash.

As long as you have a basic entry in Civilopedia.txt and don't forget you will also need corresponding Pediaicons.txt entry's to match.

If your missing just 1 you will probably crash that includes anything misspelt as well...

When you have no error message it's a bit depressing, the only other thing you could try is going back to a working version?

Good luck, if you manage to solve it please post what you find.

Mark.
