Cyclic Redundancy Check

I got the Special Edition of Civ4 for christmas and when I go to install it I get all the way through to 100%. Then it kinda freezes up and produces an error in my C++ Library 7.1, check error cyclic rendundancy check. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Ouch. Sounds like the data of your installation CD/DVD is corrupted. Back to the store with it

Do stores even take back pc games anymore? There really is no way to fix it at all? I couldnt find an email on the Civ4 site I could use or really any information from them at all. The 2kgames site was equally useless.

just bring the original disks in with you and they will

Hey... someone had this error earlier, ill try to find their thread, it has do with a faulty disk and if you exchange it for a new set it whould run fine.
