Danalin and Hastur, clues to something new happening?

While looking in that FFH lore pedia by Loocas, I saw the mention about Danalin and Hastur. So, I thought, if his nightmares are supposed to be reflected in creation, then where are they?

I know Danalin went into a coma from the shock of his people bieng destroyed (from what, I would like to know, although it's hinted that some war destroyed them, but I'm not so sure a war would kill every single one of them) but since he obviously still has all his powers, what's to stop him from trying to help create a new water race. If men had developed magic for waterwalking, I'm sure that they could develop ways to breathe underwater, or even through the mutation method, but that tends to mutate horrifically.

Still, what I'm trying to say is that since Hastur is making him dream nightmares which are reflected on creation. The Maelstrom could be one, but I doubt it, the overlords claim to be gods themselves, so that can't be it. So then, where are the nightmares that are bieng manifested on creation?

The Overlords are his dreams. It was from his dreams that they were created. At least that's my interpretation of it.

There has been speculation (I don't remember where I saw it...) that Danalin is dreaming of Hemah. It makes some sense, given how Hemah's own dreams become reality.

Yes, I thought it was that Danalin was dreaming of Hemah and Hemah was dreaming of the Overlords, or something like that.

Kol. 7 is right. In a sick, twisted way, the OO is Danalin's religion.

The reference to Danalin dreaming of Hemah is is the trivia thread somewhere. Elsewhere there is mention of the possibility that the Overlords could have been created through Hemah's dreams. If that's the case then the Overlords exist from Hastur via Danalin via Hemah, which is starting to sound a little like the Old Testament (and I mean that jokingly--as in the begat begat begat thing--and seriously--as in a religion passing through multiple agents before making it to the worshippers).

Didn't the maelstrom have something to do with Oghma's mist when Mammon tried to steal his vault? Have Mammon and Hastur caused more trouble than Agares?

I'm the one who revealed that Danalin is dreaming of Hemah. Well, perhaps "reveal" isn't the right word. Kael asked it in the Trivia thread, and I was the first to guess correctly. It was confirmed as being correct. (Well, that Danalin is dreaming of Hemah was confirmed. I don't think the origin of the overlords was confirmed, but it was strongly implied and Kael hasn't corrected me the many times I have said it)

If I were on my laptop I'd provide a link to info about the overlords, but it isn't bookmarked on my family PC (I'm home for a week before I go back for the summer semester, stuck with dial-up. I dislike AoL, and so won't install it on my laptop, especially sine we should be getting DSL soon.)

No, I may use a Great Prophet pic as my avatar (I'm too lazy to look for a custom one), but I'm actually a Great Sage.

Bow down to MagisterCultuum
the greatest prophetic sage ever to walk upon the earth
through his scientific method he can know anything

What if MagisterCultuum is dreaming that Danalin exists? Does that mean that he is the true creator of the Octopus Overlords?

And what if Kael is dreaming of MagisterCultuum who's dreaming of Danalin who's dreaming of Hemah who's...this could get recursive pretty quickly.

Recrusive?
Hemah is dreaming of Kael? Now, a lot of things make sense.
