Have version 1.071 of Civilization 3 and recently tried to load a game in year 1500
Received the error "DataIO operation System Error: CITY" and then nothing.
The same was true of the autosaves 1500, 1495 and 1490... though sometimes the game loaded with no cities.
1485 however loaded succesfully, but then once I played any number of turns (the turns played succesfully) and saved, an attempt to load netted the same result.
Any help with this would be appreciated, as I don't know what sort of insane Civilizations regulars of these forums can achieve, but researching computers by 1490 is one of my best efforts yet and I'd like to see it though.
