Hey there, heres an idea for a mod/modcomp.
You know how the lease years go by every lot of turns. Well, I think someone should make a mod/modcomp that makes at when you get to like the year 1900AD the time going by should go down to like month and everylot of turns lease months and by the time your in the year 2000AD it goes to weeks and then days... Just not hours..
Cuz' I'm playing a game(Turned off time vic cuz' I always won that..) and i'm in the year 2211AD!!! By then you'd think I would have lasers and be liveing on MARS! It just kills the feel for me when I''m just normal tanks in 2391AD. But I can't make the mods, sooo...
Oh and Globle Warming should do more then just turn land into sand... Maybe make every like 10 gloable warming warning raise the sea lot a bit. And turn land at the top of the map into ice. Also Nuclear Warheads make to much Globle Warming I think, I mean fire one ICBM and the world is getting dried up..
I have so got to get my own computer and learn how to mod:cry:

((OOPSSS! Meant for CIV4 Plz)

Regarding Global Warming, i agree, having tiles turning into desert is really annoying. I guess we should have the following:
- Forest / Jungle fires (more of them)
- Flooding (affecting coastal and river cities)
- Rock avalanches and land sliding (cities near mountains)

These should be the effects of global warming. They should temporarily put the production of the affected tile out of use, until workers are dispatched to contain the event, and eventually restore the area.
If not enough workers are sent, then after some time, flooding or fire would expand to nearby tiles, and if still no worker does anything, then the tile is permanently damaged, or takes years to recover.

As for nuclear fallouts, workers should be able to clean them before ecology, but with a risk of dying if exposed long enough (i.e. if only one worker is taking ages to clean the fallout, he might never finish the job), and the tile should take time to recover and be 100% productive once cleaned.

Any idea on how to do this?

Well, I don't know how to do it but I like the add. Just.. Forest fires? How would work?
