Hi,
I dont like how the new influence/loyalty system is working.
It makes it so that you cannot conquer and keep cities that are far from your empire regardless of your military might which is pretty absurd.
Ive made a lot of modifications in my civ files but I cannot find the tweak for decreasing distance or strength of influence.
I would like to make it a little bit less so you dont have a free city popping up on every turn.
Anybody have any idea where I can find the values I need to tweak?
Thanks.

Eric Guimarães,
any chance you could get me a mirror for that?
i cannot download from steam. :(
and the 3 values listed are nowhere to be found in my global parameters file.

Is this really an issue? Even if you have a golden age civ next door while you are in a dark age, it is nearly impossible to have your cities flip and you can just stick a governor in an isolated city to solve all loyalty issues.

I actually find all the loyalty boosts redundant, unless you settle a city in the middle of an enemy empire without a governor, its basically impossible to have it flip.

You playing on settler difficulty by any chance?

I would be very grateful if somebody gives me a mirror of the mod as I cannot download from steam.
or just go to User\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods ,open mod files in notepad and just paste the contents here.
thank you!

Because a remote city can get -20 loyalty from population, so even if you have +1 from monument and +3 from happiness, a governor won't save it.

Sure but the entire point is to discourage you from settling just one city next to multiple enemy cities...

Ive never had any loyalty issues but then again I dont settle lone cities next to multiple ones...

Yeah there are ways around it in some cases. Settle more than one city, chop in growth right away, use cards that give loyalty.

great discussion, however im not talking about settling near other cities but conquering city which is far from my cities with huge army.
regardless of whether there is unrealistic workaround like chopping forest or what ever I just dont like it and want to change it.
would anybody be so kind as to share the mod with me.
I just need the files from User\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods, you can drop them on google drive or whatever.
or just paste file name and file contents viewed in notepad here.
files are 2KB. it would only take you a minute. I would be ever so grateful.
Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
