Def pact partner declared war?

WTH is pretty much all I gotta say. Sorry if theres another thread somewhere, I looked but didn't see anything. Couple turns into the def pact, Boudica declares war, Im gonna have to teach her a lesson hopefully.

Could happen. For tons of reasons. She decided the war before, there was a random event, or the AP, or someone bribed her, or...

There is nowhere written that Defensive pact doesn't allow DoW on thee so everything is correct.

It can happen. There's only a select few AIs that will do it though, mostly because most AI thresholds for a DP are greater than what would keep you from being DoW'd.

Major exception I can think of off hand is Cathy, but there's another one I'm forgetting, some warmonger that takes DP's at pleased. Escapes me at the moment but it (rarely) happens.

And what's to stop you from doing it? I'm pretty sure you're allowed to, so why shouldn't they be?

I believe the technical term for this is called a "Backstab"

Just seems really crappy, should have like a 10 turn limit after breaking it or something, I dont know. Seems strange is all and caught me off guard a bit, but I should be able to handle her
