This is a scenario which I have just finished.

It is created with the intend of playing as the Romans who start on a smallish island with tons of ressources and gold. The coastline of this island is purely made out of highly defendable mountains(and some spots of hills for placing coastal cities). The 11 computer players have much larger continents to expand on, but with normal amounts of ressources and gold.

These are the scenario specs:

*Map is Large(130x130).
*12 players (You start as Romans).
*No start units for human, but only the city of Rome.
*No map sharing allowed, no communication trading.
*Romans(Human) have their own great wonder to begin with giving you special advantages corresponding to the wonders of: Great Library, Seti, Leonardos Workshop, Adam Smiths Trade Shop, Longivity, Universal Suffrage, Great Wall, Heroic Epic, Military Academy, Pentagon and Wall Street.
*The AI's has some major advantages such as more free units and small cost factor.
*Gold ressource produce 12 commerce.
*Cultural Conversions is turned off.
*Winning method is set only to conquest.
*The AI's start positions will be culturally linked.

This is quite a large scenario and for some computers it may be slow when most civs reach some 20-30 turns into the modern age, at least thats the result on my computer. 80 turns into modern age it takes about 2 minutes between turns on my comp.

Heres my computer specifications:
1600 Mhz Intel Pentium 4
512MB pc133 Ram
ASUS(ATI chip) RADEON A9600SE Graphic Card(128 MB Ram)

Any suggestions and comments are welcome :)

From just looking at the editor it seems as though rome will have a  huge advantage in gold  and their island really isn't that small. also it would probably make it harder (and more interesting) if you made it with conquests and had rome in locked wars, then you would be forced to focus your massive income on defense earlier. Finally that wonder seems a bit too powerful.
Anyways, that's just my 2cents I will probably play it and tell you what I think soon. :D

yeah I can see your point, in the next version I'll probably downscale Romans gold ressources, make their Island a little smaller, and make some of the AI special units stronger. Also I consider removing all but one of the luxury ressources from the Romans.
Unfortunately I can't afford to buy Civilization Conquests at the moment, but having the ability to alter diplomacy from within the editor is something I have long missed since Civ2. Thanks for your ideas :)

Ir would be nice if the AI starting locations were all coastal or at least totally inland(I hate those cities that are one square away from the coast). Looks like it could be interesting.
