Defensive spy bug?

The game states that for every rank of a defensive spy (a spy trying to catch and kill spies that are stealing techs), he will be 10% better at catching and killing the thief.

This makes me believe the chances should be 33% for a recruit, 43% for an agent, and 53% for a special agent.

The real numbers (as reported in the spy's tooltip) are 33% for a recruit, 36% for an agent, and ~40% for a special agent).

If this is intentional, they should just say "about 3% better each rank" as the current description is misleading.

As above, I think that it's correct.

It appears to be a percentage increase of the base percentage, rather than an additive percent increase.

33% base. 10% of 33% is 3.3%. 33%+3.3% is 36.3%.
36.3% new base. 10% of 36.3% is 3.63%. 36.3%+3.63% is 39.93%

If you do the rounding its 33% >> 36% >> 40%.

10% seems a bit low to me now I think of it. Perhaps it should be 12.5% for agent and 15% for special agent, or 12.5% for agent and 17.5% for special agent? Meh, but that's for another thread.
