You can use both, this is the ancient mesoamerican era, and the aztec is the medieval one

BTW, do you know what I think that makes this the best city. While yes, palette is really nice, there have been also other cities that are nice and colourful. But this city has really good difference of houses - these flat roofed stone houses for nobles and thatched roof and probably with clay walls houses for commoners. Well, this time I actually would also criticize a little... I don't know why you changed your style so that town, city and metro are pretty much the same. I would actually say that it would be perfect city when in town size there would be only these thatched houses and instead big pyramide temple some small shrine (as I don't believe any minor importance city got pyramide built), then city would have mixed houses, but still most of them thatched, and in this size should be a pyramide. And finally in metro size... well, this should be kind of like your current metro is, with mostly stone houses and many religious buildings. Anyway, just my opinion, and this city is still great even as it is now.
