How on earth do you guys pernounce deity????

is it Dye-ity
or Dee-ity??

I pronounce it 'Dee-ih-tee' I used to say 'Dye-et-ee' but was corrected by someone.

There are two accepted way to pronounce it.

I pronounce it:
day(uh)-tee

Also acceptable is:
dee(uh)-tee

In both cases:
(uh) is a barely pronounced schwa
the accent is on the first syllable

Merriam Webster online confirms this
'dE-&-tE or 'dA-&-tE
