The Boreum, Chryshe Provinces have some work to do. Of course, we will immediately found M2, and it will begin building ... a Settler, what? And we have two cities that can start ANYTHING, Dellham and Marl Downs.

Dellham grows next turn, 2 guards adequate, Settlers 34/40, done in 2 turns, then what?

Reneaux, Settlers 9/40, IPRB $2 NOW, MOVE WORKERS to River Shield, then grow in 1 turn, 2 guards adequate, working 2 River Shields, Settlers in about 11 turns.

Marl Downs, build whatever we want, say 0/40 Settler, MOVE WORKERS to ROAD, grows in 6 turns, Settler in about 16 turns. Needs another Road on Grassland Shield. Existing Settler ready to found the M2 city, and work the Road already on the Grassland Shield.
 
I voted to build lots and lots of settlers (in a $hurry). With no AI interference, let's carpet the land with our cities!

Octavian, I just came back from the grocery store, where I realized I had a problem with donuts. There were just 8 kinds, it was the end of the day. The leftovers. I had just eaten dinner (a safe time to go shopping). Looking, I liked that one, and that that that that that that and that. All 8 kinds! But, I did not buy one. I came home and spread natural peanut butter on a cracker, and ate that. Now I am still hungry.

But seriously, I'd really rather build just settlers. Redistribute our existing guards. And spend $gold, although allow it to creep up for a rainy day. About $50 is enough to buy one Barb. It would be a shame to delay settlers just because we want to have a lot of gold.

I also recommend the M2, 2Whales, and Dellham RM Settlers dash to their city sites and Found. I'm not a riot expert, but generally the sooner the better. Ditto for a Settler going to M1, becuase it has a River of Science. The Little Nemo Settler can build a road (or 2?) for RC, also a Settler walking to found G2.

I second this motion. The sooner we get the whole island covered with our cities, the sooner we can start to build what we need when we need it.

Ah yes - the Octavian X doughnut clinic! All your doughnut quandries answered. And the answer is doughnuts, more of them!

I agree with MonkE and powersg with regard to spreading out our influence. If we can colonise all the squares on our continent then we needn't worry about land barbs (colonised means within city radii or just with a road on) and only have to be concerned about raging pirates. :D
 
I voted for the two recommended options since they made sense, building another settler can never hurt and IPRB will also be helpful if we have the gold.
