Descent: Freespace 1 and 2

You gotta admit- this is better than Wing Commander.
Not to mention the really good 3D Rendering, considering it was Voalitions major space shooter

I enjoyed both of the games. There was a good storyline to it and it was good fun. It is a shame there won't be a third installment, there were alot of loose ends to be tied up.

I loved those games too and hoped they would make a 3rd.

With the story at the end of 2 they left it totally unfinished. I think it had something to do with the fact that company making it(Volition) went out of business. Interplay is still around though. I wish they'd pick up where their subsidiary left off.

I also heard somewhere theat THQ picked up the licence somewhere but they don't want to develop a new one. It's not fair I want more Shivans

Volition didn't go out of business. They're the company behind Red Faction and Summoner. They are, however, a wholly owned subsidiary of THQ now.

Freespace 1 & 2 were great games, though.
