Im intrested to know peoples strategies on this scenario. There does not seem to be any event driven victory condition so total domiation or space ship construction is the ultimate goal.
I have played the Soviets and have found it to be incredably easy to defeat the German advance. I did not lose one city! All I did was mass produce infantry and used the cities past Stalingrad to produce artillery, tanks and later on fighters.
I then attempted to complete the scenario with the Americans. I found that it was too boring. The Americans have some of the best untis in the game and a wide variety but they are very far from their warzones. They are so powerful later on that I think they should really be hampered with democracy as a government not a wartime government(communism). I found them too easy and rather boring. Needless to say I stopped playing them.
I have not played Japan so I cannot comment as yet. The same goes for the neutrals and eastern allies (a real challenge).
I have not tried out Germany fully, however from what I have seen they are great fun!
I have recently started playing as the British. It is quite a challenge because of the massive empire you have to control, the many warzones and the unrest at the start of the game can be annoying. So far I have made a plan to use canada to supply land troops to north africa (ship chaining
), middle east supplies Athens (VERY Important) and India mass produces infantry, half of which I give to the eastern allies to help them hold their ground against the Japanese (thus preventing a Japanese rush across China early on). Currently that is as far as I have got in my game but I would like to hear how other players proceed.
