Did I do something wrong?

Everyone hates me xD I am going to assume its because I am the top dog but 5 of the 6 other factions are at war with me and I haven't done anything to provoke most them... well they all came and badgered me for some techs but since they were weaker then me I told them off Luckily I am in no real danger as most of them are fighting with each other so only the Gainians(my only close neighbors)are really attacking me. They also won't even talk to me so I cannot do anything about it but I miss my trade bonus! I am kinda nooby at smac this is my second game after a 10 year hiatus and I am not sure how to mount an offensive against Deidre and her warmongering control freak SAVE THE PLANET! bs Shes been on me all game nagging me about how I run my colony so I want to shut her up and get back to my building She cannot attack my bases shes tried quite a few times but I just destroy her units when there in the open but I cannot attack her bases because they are to heavily fortified. So I am thinking maybe build a crap load of artillery batteries and do a combined arms push but that would take quite awhile to build >.< I am wondering if theres a better way...I don't have blink yet and shes a lil ahead in techs(like 2~3) we are in mid game if that helps xD Damn tachyon fields! Its like WWI before tanks... everyones hiding in there trenchs I got a Global Warming message a couple of turns before the nag and the rest of the fools attacked me,(her bases are just as bad as mine ecowise)would that precipitate a "hang the polluter" alliance? Well anyhoo any help would be appreciated

If They won't talk to you, I don't see an option other than to knock off a couple of their bases. That will get them talking. Start with Deidre. They'll probably call you right about the time you approach the third base and demand tribute for peace. This is similar to what happens when you lose communications due to solar flares.

Everyone will start to hate you once you're on the top of the power charts. My advice is to establish a large invasion force(5 units per enemy city) and then invade. Don't send a few units at a time because you'll lose all of them. Establish an overwhelming force and then invade. Get a lot of probe teams and steal their tech advantage, and then either just bribe their cities or destroy their perimeter defenses and tachyon fields.

Also, if you post a game save we can give you better advice.

Ok well I found the biggest problem I am having with this xD There seems to be a bug in my game o_o Its really annoying to! I get the urgent message when I take a few of there bases but when I click ok I get another urgent message then they pop up really pissed make a remark about not listening or something then they storm off. If anyone knows how to fix that bug it would help considerably...as of right now I cannot give any demands or stop the war in anyway besides wiping them out. Thx for any replies
