difference between civ 3 gold and civ 3 expansion

What is Civ 3 expansion pack?
There are several different versions of Civ3 running around out there:
Civ3/Civ3:Game Of The Year
Civ3
lay The World
Civ3:Conquets
Civ3:Gold
Civ3:Complete.
Now, the first title is regular Civ3. The next two are the expansions. Conquests includes all the content of PTW, minus a couple of unit packs that can be downloaded at the Civ3.com website.
Civ3:Gold is Regular Civ3 & PTW bundled together.
Civ3:Complete is Civ3, PTW and Conquests bundled together.
Which is the best depends on what versions of Civ you already have. If you have Civ3, I would get Conquests. Regardless of whether or not you have PTW. (A lot of us bought all three at release time.) If you have Gold, I'm not sure if you can add Conquests, but I think you can. And if you don't have any versions of it at all, get complete. Unless you can find a cheap copy of Regular Civ3 and Conquests, which is all you really need to play.
